"Take Three," the third annual Nordic film extravaganza sponsored by not-for-profit ASFLA, came to town on Feb. 1, 2 and 3, 2002, at the Writers' Guild Theatre in Beverly Hills, Calif. This was the second sequel to the successful LA showcase of Scandinavian films and filmmakers launched in 2000. The festival pivots around the Scandinavian films submitted to the Academy Awards for consideration as nominees in the Best Foreign-Film category, with additional screenings of short subjects and documentaries.
